Quran verses that refer to the Bible

In the Quran we find a lot of references to the books of the Bible. These are called the Injil which is the Gospel, The Torah which are the 5 books  of Moses, the Zabur which is the Psalms, and we have references to the the scriptures (also known as the book). The interesting thing is that all these references are mostly positive about the books of the Bible or at the least neutral. There are a number of other verses (about 9) that Muslims like to suggest imply that the Bible has been corrupted but on closer inspection, not only is that untrue but often they imply the opposite to what some Muslims would have you believe. Early Church quotes on the Deity of Jesus

It Has been suggested many times that the early church did not believe in the Trinity and that this doctrine was born at the Council of Nicea in 325 AD. Aside from the fact that we get the doctrine of the Trinity from the Bible and not from a council, there is a large amount of historical quotes from early church father and also from external sources that prove that the church believed in the Trinity and also the deity of Jesus hundreds of years befor the council took place. The Bible reveals that Jesus is Yahweh

One of the many proofs for Jesus being God is found in the use of God's name which is Yahweh and that being applied to Jesus. Follow the link below to find out more.

Contradictions in the Quran

Muslims and many other people say that the Bible has lots of contradictions in it. With the Bible a honest investigation will remove most of them imediately while others will involve some work to clear up any confusion. Considoring that the Quran is a short book compared to the Bible, it is amazing how many contradictions there are and most of them can not be reconciled with each other. Check out the link below to see the list.

Studies of the Quran

In this section we look at what various people have had to say about the Quran. The various authors are from different backgrounds and countries and different beliefs. I don't claim to agree with all that is in this section, but they are all worth a look.

Historicity of Jesus in Quotes

Incredible as it may sound some still try to say that Jesus never existed. Follow the link below to see how ridiculous that claim is by reading these quotes from scholars.

Is it OK to beat your slaves or even have slaves in the first place?

Here we take a look at Exodus 21 verses 20 to 21

Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.

Discussions around Islam and Prepubescent sex and marriage

Not the nicest subjects to look at but a very important and controvesial one. Does either Christianity or Islam have an age for conscent and if that age is as low as to allow for child brides, is that a safe and moral practice?

Answering Deedat’s claims in his book, Combat Kit Against Bible Thumpers

Deedat put this together in 1992 to help Muslims cope with Christians when they attempt to share the good news (often called the gospel in the Bible) with them. When looking at any challenges to the Christian faith such as this by Deedat we have to remember the first recorded words of Satan in the Bible “Did God really say” (Genesis 3:1). Jesus said of the Devil “When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44b). If someone wants to disbelieve the scriptures then he is free to do so. As Paul Simon sung in one of his songs, “still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest” but it not the wisest thing to do. The wise person will seek out the truth regardless of the cost but the fool will seek people to tell him what they want to hear.
