BibleS in the Chinese language
The Bible is not so much a book but rather a library of books. It consists of 66 books written by 40 authors who wrote the Bible over a period of 1,500 years. These Bible writers wrote as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17). Moses was probably the first person to write portions of Scripture (some scholars believe that there is evidence that the book of Job was written before the books of Moses) while John the disciple of Jesus was the last. Other famous people who wrote the Bible include: David, Daniel, Peter, Paul, Jonah, Isaiah, Solomon and David.
The Bible is grouped in 39 books which we call the
Old Testament which are the books written up to the birth of Jesus and 27 books which we call the New Testaments and are after the birth of Jesus.
