Deedat is being deliberately obtuse here with his comments. God Almighty often uses human terms to describe how he feels about something. What He is saying is that he was very satisfied with what he had created because as he said “it was very good” (cf Genesis 1:31). I am sure no one doubts that God never gets tired and never ceases from his work but here are a couple of references.

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” (Isaiah 40:28).

“My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” (John 5:17b).

 

Incidentally, the verse from Exodus states that it was Yahweh (God’s name) who made heaven and earth and John 1:3 says Jesus made everything.
