Bibles in the Malawian (Nyanja Chichewa) language
The Bible is not so much a book but rather a library of books. It consists of 66 books written by 40 authors who wrote the Bible over a period of 1,500 years. These Bible writers wrote as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17). Moses was probably the first person to write portions of Scripture (some scholars believe that there is evidence that the book of Job was written before the books of Moses) while John the disciple of Jesus was the last. Other famous people who wrote the Bible include: David, Daniel, Peter, Paul, Jonah, Isaiah, Solomon and David.
The Bible is grouped in 39 books which we call the Old
Testament which are the books written up to the birth of Jesus and 27 books which we call the New Testaments and are after the birth of Jesus.
These translations into the Nyanja - Chichewa language were done by the Bible society of Malawi. I had to copy them from www,bible.com book by book and chapter by chapter and then put them all together and then finally convert them into a pdf file. I have taken care to capture all of the chapters and then place them in the right order but being human it is possible that I made a mistake. If you spot any errors can you email me using the contact page and I will correct the error as quickly as possible.
The reason for I uploaded these full versions (when they are freely available from Bible.com), is not everyone has access to the internet, all of the time, so therefore I have made it available to download so that you can read God's word at anytime you wish.
I have noticed that in some of the chapters, numbers occur which do not appear to have a purpose. These are separate to the verse numbers. Have a look at Roman 8:29 to see what I mean. I would remove them, but am afraid that maybe they do have a purpose. If you know otherwise, please let me know from the contact page.
